Steve Webster spent thirty years as a law enforcement officer in the State of Maine. His experiences and memories caused him to slowly lose faith in his fellow man. It wasn’t until he started helping a local, and all volunteer dog rescue called Almost Home Rescue of New England, did he start to get a renewed sense of belief in others.
A Memoir with Maisie is a book that started as a means of therapy for Steve, but ended as a compilation of stories that highlight a life well lived, but not necessarily a well lived life. Steve found an effective way of looking back at his life and giving examples of the power of love, compassion, and hope. He pulled this off while telling stories of many “unwanted” dogs who are now living their best life because someone stepped up and saved them.
This book is designed to make the reader take an introspective look into their own life while encouraging them to give back…in any way that they are able to. Humans and dogs are not that dissimilar and this book will give heartwarming examples of why that is the case. Enjoy the read 🙂

Steve had one goal when writing A Memoir with Maisie...he wanted to raise awareness for the unsung heroes who operate small volunteer dog rescues. One close to his heart is Almost Home Rescue of New England. One way to help without leaving your chair is to donate to this worthy cause. Please consider giving back in some small manner. Every dollar helps! Thank you
